Sleuth version 4.1
The new release of sleuth, version 4.1, is now available.
As well as some important system improvements for performance and database engine tuning there are several user requested changes from the ever growing community of sleuth users.
Features of the new release include:
- Student/Staff Update - Automatic synchronising of student and staff data from school administration systems (including CMIS, SIMS .net, Integris and Phoenix) with sleuth. This uses the Xporter tool to extract data from your school's administration system and import it into sleuth directly. This can be scheduled to run as frequently as you want and runs in the background requiring no manual intervention. The Sleuth Importer tool will be available for purchase through School Software Company .com later this term.
- Batch Letter Printing - the automatic generation of letters/documents can now be done in batch at the end of the day so that thay can be signed, processed and/or posted together.
- Tools to improve performance - compress and reorganise your data to improve indexing and performance.
- Tools to manage data - remove old incidents prior to a given date, rollback the student update.
- Improved Installation - a new database engine and install program.
